2008 European Championships… "Russia wins Best Team!"

The European championships ended in style with nail biting matches on the final day. The colors of the national flags and teams at the venue showed that this was the biggest European championship ever held and on the final day, there were athletes from Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Turkey, Germany, France, England, Portugal, Italy, Kazakhstan and Finland fighting it out for fame and glory.

The nest junior boxer went to Ukraine. Best female boxer went to Poland. The best male boxer went to Belarus. Russia claimed the over-all team trophy. The torch for the next European championship went to Latvia and the bidding has started for the 2010 championship between Turkey, Russia and Italy to host.
