IOC Praises IFMA Cultural Exchange Program

IFMA was given the highest praise from the IOC for its cultural exchange program as part of the World Sport for All Games under patronage of the International Olympic Committee. Over 40 Korean schools participated in this program which partnered the children with IFMA’s muaythai teams for various cultural exchange activities.
Children were selected to have the chance to march hand in hand with their new muaythai friends for the opening ceremony with all IFMA countries. It was a wonderful experience for all especially as H.E. the Privy Councilor to H.M. the King of Thailand had given a special Mongkol to the representative of all the children, and all athletes gave special gifts and a certificate to their new Korean friends.

After the opening, the program continued with special muaythai instruction and cultural exchange programs between all the kids. The program which ran for weeks was given the highest compliments from the government of Korea and TAFISA.

IFMA would like to thank the thousands of children who participated in this cultural exchange program. Friendship for life has been made and IFMA will continue to have cultural exchange programs as part of our events. As a firm member of Generations for Peace, the work will continue to bring the world closer together.
