Muaythai Included in the Arafura Games
Another milestone in the development of Muaythai with its inclusion in the Arafura Games. These games are with no doubt one of Asia Pacific's premier sporting events. The Arafura games are designed for the emerging champions of Asia-Pacific and beyond to use as a stepping stone to their highest level. IOC and GAISF recognized sports in the region are invited to come together to compete. The Arafura Games are a vessel through which friendship, good will and cultural understanding is fostered and strengthened. IFMA as a member of GAISF will be the international federation responsible for the sport of Muaythai.
