TCC Thailand 2009 / 1st press release‏

The Champions Club Thailand Promoter, Bernard Caplin confirms plans are underway for international event in Fairtex Stadium, Pattaya in August. First details on The Champions Club Thailand 2009 event were released to the international media today.

Sanctioned by the WMC, The Champions Club is focused on promoting worldclass international Muaythai, K-1 Rules Superfights for Champions of all federations and hosting WMC Muaythai Title bouts.

"We are currently working on getting our first international show up on its feet, The Champions Club Thailand 2009, concentrating on Thailands beautiful and most cosmopolitan resort city of Pattaya as host. Fairtex Stadium in Pattaya has been selected as the choice venue after location scouting of the many suitable options we have been offered in Thailand" Bernard Caplin confirmed today.

"Of course there are many possibilites in "the home of Muaythai", but the final decision has gone to Pattaya. The reasons are not too hard to understand as we have a good working relationship with Fairtex, there are many great Muaythai gyms, a great stadium, perfect training facilites at the Fairtex resort, an international community with a high expat demography, super beaches, lots to sports activity and great nightlife in Pattaya. Also the proximity to Bangkok is not to be forgotten."

"I am proud to announce that after two very successful events in Germany, great response from fighters, trainers, media and fans alike, we are currently negotiating with many top fighters from around the world and with Fairtex as Stadium owners in Pattaya for the TCC 2009 Thailand show. I hope we can reach a suitable agreement soon. We welcome fighters to send in their bios. If a top fighter is in Thailand during August and wants to be on this historic show then I would like to hear from him. Or her of course!"

The Champions Club Thailand and the main event are expected to be confirmed soon.
