The Thai Senate delegation under the chairmanship of Mrs. Narumon Siriwat, visited the IFMA World Championships. At the opening ceremony, the Chairman of the Senate’s Sports Committee expressed her gratitude to the Uzbekistan Government for organizing such a spectacular opening ceremony. The 2011 IFMA World Championships in Uzbekistan is not just a competition and cultural exchange, it is also where the leaders and executives of the National and Continental Federations meet together with the IFMA Executives to network and make important decisions. Besides all the Continental meetings (FAMA, EMF, OMF), the IFMA Executive Board got together and the various commission meetings, such as the Female Commission Meeting. The next one coming up is the IFMA Annual General Meeting.
Day 2 of the competition proves to be filled with excitement and action over all 3 rings. Atmosphere in the stadium was electrifying with the cheers from local muaythai enthusiasts and fans. The roof of the Sporting Palace was on fire when Home boy Kahhorov Mavlonbek took the victory over Turkey's Ozturk Yilmaz in the 67KG A division bout. The crowd's decibel level was a true testament to the Uzbeki's love for muaythai.
Tashkent greeted the world muaythai community with a spectacular opening ceremony. The Tashkent Sporting Palace was filled to capacity and over 10,000 eager fans had to be turned away. One of German’s top events venues, the Carl Benz Arena, in Stuttgart, will be showcasing the upcoming Thailand vs. Europe. The event, which is organized by Elite Boxing promotions, under the sanctioning of the WMC, and part of the Thailand vs. Challenger Series, will feature the Thai superstars Madsua, Nonsai Sor Sanyakorn, and Thanongdeh to take on Europe’s best fighters.
