Evolution Malaysia a Huge Success

Elite boxing, Evolution Promotions, sanctioned by the World Muaythai Council and the Malaysian Muaythai Federation can only describe as a night to remember for athletes and spectators alike. Many VIPs have been present, such as H.E. Mr. Krit Kraichitti, Thai Abmassador to Malaysia, Dato Shahnaz Azmi, President of Malaysian Muaythai Association, Stephan Fox, WMC Vice President, Seth Fishman, CEO of Elite Boxing and many celebrities from the private and entertainment world.

Evolution Promoter Nugget McNaught promised a night of fantastic fights and he delivered and as promised, Elite Boxing Director, Tony Marcus gave everyone who attended entertainment in the five-star Imperial Ballroom at the One World Hotel.

The first fight was between Ain MuaMalay (MALAYSIA) VS Wasim Sor Keawseuk (SOUTH AFRICA), a fantastic fight, which warmed the crowd up with Malaysia winning.

Next up was Yeang Fei “Ferrari” (MALAYSIA) VS Natthaphon Chaowalit (THAILAND). Malaysia has become one of the fastest growing sport in the Muaythai world, and Malaysia VS Thailand, as neighbouring countries have always been an entertaining and competitive matchup. This time, Malaysia won, and both fighters left the ring to a standing ovation.

The third match-up was between Kai Chee (MALAYSIA) VS Veselin Veselinov (BULGARIA). This was a close fight, and Bulgaria was able to have the upper hand, so to say, and Vesselin came away with the win by points.

Teerapong (THAILAND) VS Bruce MacFie (AUS) was a talked-about fight, as it was a rematch from the previous Evolution in Australia in which Bruce MacFie stopped Teerapong. This time, the Thai superstar came back to set the record straight and it was him stopping MacFie in sensational style. The ring is now free for the final decider bout between two of the most decorated muaythai athletes in the sport.

The fight between Frank Paredez Vilchiz (PERU) VS Anton Petrov (BULGARIA) was the fight of the evening. Two IFMA medal winners meeting in the centre ring and two warriors standing toe-to-toe for the entire fight came down to a very close decision for Petrov, but both fighters earned the respect from everyone present in one of the hardest and well fought fights of the evening.

In this Asian super fight of Jom Kitti (THAILAND) VS Vahid Sor Keawseuk (IRAN), the medal winner from the last Indo-Asian games from Iran faced the superstar from Thailand in probably one of the most technical fights in the evening with both fighters playing chess in the ring.It was Thailand which won the close decision and a re-match is already in discussion.

Ali Yaakub (MALAYSIA) VS Ghot Seur Noi (THAILAND) was the main fight of the evening. The Malaysian champion, Ali Yaakub took on the Thai-Aus champ Ghot Seur Noi, and this was the fight everyone was waiting for and was well worth the wait. In round one Ghot stunned the Malaysian champ in which the ref had to give him standing 8 count, but with the heart of a warrior, and in true Malaysian spirit, Ali came back strong and the 4^th and 5^th rounds was the battle of the toughest with both fighters not giving up an inch. In the end Ghot won the decision and there was no one sitting at the ballroom as the crowd got up on their feet to honour two great athletes and warriors.
