Hong Kong and Australia in the Spotlight for the Last Week of June

After the highlight of the successful event earlier this month at the Monte-Carlo Fighting Master in Monaco, with HSH Prince Albert II as the honorary patron and many celebrities from the Muaythai world in attendance at the event including the president of Peace and Sport, Mr Joel Bouzou, Baroness Cécile de Massy, IFMA President Dr Sakchye Tapsuwan, WMC Vice President and IFMA General Secretary, Stephan Fox; the spotlight on Muaythai is now moving to Hong Kong and Australia for the last week of June.

The Hong Kong Muaythai Association (HKMTA), which is one of the most active Muaythai associations with events almost every month, just hosted The One Legend Muaythai event on the 24th of June in Hong Kong. Famous celebrity, Jackie Chan was present in the previous event to present the trophy, and this month’s event was another fantastic One Legend event.

Eldy Chan, the HKMTA president, said that Muaythai in Hong Kong is growing stronger and stronger and that there is strength in numbers. This was another important event to showcase Muaythai and Hong Kong.

Australia will be the next stop for Muaythai at the end of this month with Epic Promotions, Epic 11 Brave event coming up. The main event will feature Australia’s WMC World Champion Caley Reece versus Dilara Yildiz from Germany.

The event will go down on June 29th and will be a great promotion for female muaythai, which is getting stronger and stronger around the world. Caley is truly one of the most outstanding female fighters and a great ambassador for the sport but she will be challenged by the strong German fighter in the Europe versus Oceania bout.
