Ignition Fight Results
The latest edition of Ignition on Sunday 17th July, 2016 in the city of Perth, Australia saw a fantastic evening of Muaythai, once again highlighting the popularity of the sport in the country.
The main fight of the night saw Bec ‘the Hulk’ Rooney go head to head with Victoria Callaghan in a battle for the Lightweight WMC state title. This turned out to be an awesome event with the two local athletes giving it all they had for 5 rounds. It was Victoria who emerged victorious becoming the new WMC Lightweight Australian Champion.
Additionally, Maddie Duiker won the Ignition cup claiming a victory over Shannon Peek in the 57kg category. Maddie is an exciting up and coming fighter and one to watch in the future. Despite being 17 she fights with great Muaythai skills and composure beyond her years and many are confident she will be bringing home gold at the upcoming IFMA Youth World Championships in Bangkok.
