JIMMY VIENOT WILL LEAD TEAM FRANCE TO BATTLE IN MINSK
The leader of the French team Jimmy Vienot is joining his team mates as one of the favourites for medals in his 75 kg division. He holds the gold from the European Championship in Prague 2018 and a spectacular performance in the World Championships 2019 this year. In Minsk, Jimmy will go to the lair of his rival from last year in the Prague final, Vital Hurkou. Vital will definitely want revenge for his loss last year and will try to use the energy of the home crowd to overthrow Jimmy from the European Champion’s throne.
Jimmy became the WMC world champion last year with a stunning victory over Sorcraw Petchyindee at the prestigious Rajadamnuen stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. A title defence was set up 4 months later against Ilya Grad from Israel but due to a technical fault the bout was considered a no contest decision. A defence of the title is currently in the works and will be released shortly when 100% confirmed.
Jimmy is on top of his game at the moment as he dominates both the amateur and professional circuit and we wish him the best of luck in the upcoming European Championships.
