Malaysia’s Muaythai Association in conjunction with The Sports Ministry brings top rated reality series The Challenger Muaythai’s worldwide Championship finale to Kuala Lumpur’s Stadium Negara, 19th November, 7.00PM!
Malaysia, 9th November 2011 – The Challenger Muaythai debuted to an enraptured AXN audience in Malaysia in September, breaking through the competition to hit the No. 1 spot* across all English cable channels among Pay TV 4+ audience in its timeslot. In fact, Malaysians have proven to be avid fans of the show, with AXN leading at 31% ahead of the nearest competitor during its timeslot on Thursdays at 10pm. Surrounded by the non-stop, high-intensity excitement of blood, guts and glory in high definition The Challenger Muaythai, 16 world-class fighters converge upon Asia to vie for the prestigious title of Muaythai World Champion, and the grand prize of US$100,000! The line up for this event is a nail biting entertainment marathon, including 2 local match ups with Malaysia’s Hamdan versus Ediey Serenading Kuning, and Tengku Shahrizal versus Wes jaya to get the crowd warmed up. This local delight will be followed by 3 returning Challenger grudge matches, including the return of Malaysia’s own star fighter, The ‘Golden Elbow’ Mohd Faizal bin Ramli to represent his country and take another shot at putting Malaysian Muaythai on the world map!
