Matthieu Guevara the New Super Lightweight European Champion!
Mattieu Guevara from France received a standing ovation when he became the new WMC European Super Lightweight champion (63.5 kg) taking a win over Maciej Zembik from Poland on Thursday evening.
The event which was held in the beautiful city of Sarcelles, France and sanctioned by the WMC saw international bouts of the highest level with athletes hailing from Thailand, Russia, Bulgaria, Poland and of course France, all hoping to go home victorious. The main fight of the evening was between multiple IFMA champion Maciej Zembik from Poland and French champion Mathieu Guevara for the Super Light Weight (63.5kg) WMC European title with Mathieu going home victorious.
WMC French representative Pascal stated that this was an evening to remember with all the athletes putting on an incredible show and demonstrating that Muaythai is truly a global sport. We would like to thank the promoter for putting on such a great show and we are all looking forward to the next one.
