Nathan ‘Carnage’ Corbett: A True Champion
Nathan Corbett is one of the superstars of muaythai with an impressive career span across 17 years. With 59 wins, 44 by knock out and only 5 losses combined with his unique fighting style fans gave him the name Golden Elbows. Nathan was one of the most respected athletes on the WMC world circuit competing against the best in the world. He started in the lighter division in his younger years winning his first WMC word title fight in the light heavyweight division against Clifton Brown of Canada.
He then moved up a weight category to face Russian fighter Magomed Magomedov, a champion in his own right, taking the world title again. He successfully defended his title in a rematch against Clifton Brown and a bout against Recai Celik from Turkey.
One of his most legendary fights was at the Champion of Champions in Montego Bay, Jamaica against Tyrone Spong which ended in a controversial no contest. Many years later this is still the discussion of many fighters around the world. Nathan is also remembered as an ambassador for muaythai being part of the WMC and IFMA youth projects especially at world title events inspiring not only the next generation but also kids in need.
