Reunion vs Thailand vs Spain!
Saturday the 16th June on the idyllic French island of Le Reunion in the Indian Ocean will be the host to an evening of international muaythai. The event which is sanctioned by the WMC will feature athletes from Thailand, Spain and of course Le Reunion Island.
The event has a solid undercard with the two main fights being for WMC Intercontinental titles. The first will see Kengjak Naruphai from Thailand face Giovanni Boyer from Le Reunion in the 66.67 KG/ 147 Pound division (Welterweight). The second title fight will see Dabmoon Sia Chot Bangsaen from Thailand go head to head with Samuel Andoch from Le Reunion Island in the 76,20Kgs/168 Pound division (Super Middleweight).
The President of WMC France stated that Muaythai is very popular on the island. Although the population is under 1 million inhabitants the fact that muaythai events at the international level can thrive there is testament to that. Le Reunion has some great athletes and mainland France continues to support the development of the sport on this beautiful island.
