WMC European Title to be Contested in Leoben

October the 9th is a date for the muaythai calendar as Nina Scheucher from K.S.F. Gym Leoben (Austria) and Raffaella Di Biasi from Profighting Lampertheim (Germany) will compete for the WMC European title in Leoben, Austria.

The title will be contested during the Austrian National Championships which will be the first IFMA/WMC Austria event to be held since IFMA was fully recognised by the IOC.

Athletes from seven provinces are expected to take part in the championships where the national team will be selected to head to the World Championships in Phuket, Thailand in December.

The organiser who is also an IFMA/WMC ITO, Günter Plank stated that the federation is very much looking forward to the event and happy that they have reached full gender equality this year. All of the athletes are in fight camps now ahead of the contest and we look forward to seeing the fruits of their labour.
