Battle of the Champions, Moscow
Friday the 1st November in the beautiful city of Moscow will see the return of Battle of the champions. The show which is sanctioned by the WMC will deliver its 11th installment and promises not to disappoint with a full international card featuring featuring athletes from around the globe and the best of the best from Russia’s elite. Headlining the show will feature a super fight for the vacant 69.84 kg Super Welterweight WMC Intercontinental Title between Masoud Minaei from Iran and Artem Pashporin from Russia.
Artem Pashporin is one of Russia’s finest athletes and has been in there with some of the heaviest hitters in the game including Thai superstars Yodwicha, Superbon and the legendary Buakaw Banchamek. Another notable performance was against Giorgio Petrosyan who is considered by many the best in his weight division. Pashporin is currently the WMC European champion taking the belt home last December with a valiant win over Parikh Bumba Nayanesh from Spain.
Masoud Minaei from Iran needs no introduction in the sport and has experienced success on both the amateur and professional circuits. Known as the the Silent Assassin, Masoud is an IFMA gold medalist and is known throughout IFMA as one of the fiercest athletes in his division. Masoud is also no stranger to the professional circuit and holds notable victories over Marco Pique, Sudsakorn Sor Klinmee and Aikpracha Meenayothin to name a few. He also had an epic fight against Yodsaenklai showcasing that he really is up there with the best.
It is safe to say that this fight will be of epic proportions as both of these athletes are on top of their game at the moment. From all at the WMC we wish both of the athletes the best of luck!
