Samart Payakaroon is known as the Jade Faced Tiger. He is one of the greatest Muaythai Fighters of all time, becoming a world champion in both Muaythai and Boxing.

Samart PayakaroonSamart Payakaroon, real name Samart Tiptarmai (born 5th December 1962, Chachoengsao Province) was convinced to train Muaythai when he was 11 years old by his older brother. By the time he was 16, he won many fight and gained enough experience and confidence to step into the bigger ring in Bangkok – Lumpinee Stadium, the ring that made him a renowned World Muaythai Fighter.

He was considered as one of the best Muaythai boxers because of his calm and collective style as well as his clever strategies he used in the ring. Samart is best known for his timing, and his ring smarts of knowing exactly when he needed to attack aggressively, and when to evade.  Also, his steady focus on the opponent’s attacks was one of the finest weapons he used to avoid getting hit, which also enabled him to win many hard won victories in different battles within the ring. His success as a World Muaythai fighter was proved as he won 129 victories from a total of 150 fights in his professional career.

Because of his regular hard training and utmost determination and devotion to success, he became the Lumpinee Stadium Champion in 4 different divisions, 3 times Thailand fighter of the year and also a two time world featherweight boxing champion.
