After his recent win on YOKKAO 36 in Italy, YOKKAO world champion, Liam Harrison’s highly-anticipated title defense against Thai elite fighter, Rambo Phet Por Tor Aor will now be put on hold. The UK legend sustained an injury during the fight against Ivan Naccari that left him with a meniscus tear in the knee that aggravated during training. The injury is predicted to keep Harrison out of action for at least 6 to 8 weeks.

Fans will be pleased to know that Rambo’s return to the Bolton stadium shall proceed as planned. The highly-ranked fighter showed up at the Macron Stadium last October and he left with a stunning win against Nathan Bendon via decision. Rambo brings to the ring a classic technical style favoured by the best of the Thai elite athletes, and after his sensational promotional debut on YOKKAO 32, he will take to the stage to prove himself in front of a UK crowd once more.

Taking Harrison’s place to face Rambo for the YOKKAO 38 main event will be none other than Scotland’s very own Christopher Shaw. The coming fight marks Shaw’s fourth appearance on our show. In his last appearance on YOKKAO 27, the Scotsman delivered a class performance against Thai champion, Superlek Kiatmoo9. Representing POS Fight team in Glasgow, Shaw is known to put the pressure on in the ring and we can expect high-intensity action to escalate from the get-go.

YOKKAO 37 – 38 is bringing together a list of distinguished athletes from around the UK and Thailand for one night of pulsating Muay Thai action. Confirmed bouts to look forward to include Nathan Bendon vs Craig Coakley, Joe Craven vs Chris Shaw, Niamh Kinehan vs Lucy Payne, as well as the headlining act featuring Thai star Superbank Sakchaichote who will take on Paul Karpowicz.

Tickets for the 23 March event are going fast with only Gold outer ringside seats remaining. Visit https://www.yokkao.com/events/yokkao-37-38/ for details.
