Heroes in Sweden
On the 23rd of March, the beautiful city of Halmstad, Sweden, will be treated to a long awaited event in which some of Europe’s major athletes will meet.
Kicking off the sport spectacle, a fierce and fiery -58 kg female fight between 2 of the greatest female boxers of the world: Christin Fiedler (Austria) VS Madeleine Vall (Sweden) .
This will no doubt be a battle of the bombshells with both fighters National Champions in their own countries, both well experienced with many bouts on their belts and both of whom were bronze medalists at the last IFMA World Championships in different weight categories. Now the two will meet in the middle with Madeleine coming down and Christin gaining up for what is sure to be an exciting match.
Madeleine Vall is a familiar face on the Swedish Muaythai scene. She trained in Muaythai for eight years and has competed for seven. Out of more than 50 fights, she is the 3 times Swedish Champion, 2 times Nordic Champion and 2 times European Champion.
Christin has shown that she was the best female fighter in Austria winning 20 fights out of 30. The fight will be 5 x 3 minutes full Muaythai rules.
The main event will present Mauro Serra (Italy) VS Sanny Dahlbeck (Sweden) in a -70 kg bout. Sanny Dahlbeck is a 21 year old rising star in Muaythai. He recently fought in the GLORY World Series final 8 and made a great run in the tournament, winning against Yoshihiro Sato with a KO in the semi-final. Out of his 32 fights, he has 27 wins with an impressive 15 KO and TKO record. In 2010 Sanny won the IFMA Amateur Nordic Muay Thai Champion Title. Facing off with him, the Italian Mauro “Caterpillar” Serra showed already many times that he was ready to fight the bests of the best, showing no fear when he matched up against Saiyok in 2011, or Buakaw in 2012. He has a fight record of 27 fights and 19 wins. The fight will be 3 x 3 minutes full Muaythai rules. This event holds promise of a great night of fight entertainment indeed!
