Myriam Plans to Take Over the World

Myriam Djedidi is an athlete that needs no introduction in the world of muaythai. Representing France Myriam holds a myriad of titles as an IFMA gold medalist, 2-time WMC European Champion, and WMC Intercontinental champion

Myriam’s journey with the WMC began in 2017 on a quest to become the WMC European champion at 53.8kg which saw her face Vanessea Da Waele from Belgium and emerge victorious.

Fast forward one year and it was time for Myriam to defend her title against a strong opponent and star of Angel Fight Polina Petrova from Russia again emerging the victor.

Then in 2018 after earning her European stripes it was time for Myriam to step up and fight for the Intercontinental title against IFMA gold medalist Yumiko Kawano from Canada in what was an epic battle and another triumph for Myriam.

Now after a long arduous journey, Myriam will now step up to compete for the belt of all belts, the WMC World Title and rising to the challenge is IFMA medalist Funda Alkayis from Turkey. Funda’s reputation in both amateur and professional muaythai allowed her to be head-hunted by Nike in order for them to sponsor her.

The fight is scheduled for the 17th April in Paris and is already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated fights of 2020 so far.
