Nordic Champion reigns in Denmark!

On Saturday the 10th of November, Copenhagen hosted “Siam Warriors” a night with action packed Muaythai fights, an excited audience and a fantastic atmosphere.

The evening’s main event was the WMC Welter Weight 4 Man Nordic Champion tournament, with a fighter from each of the 4 Nordic countries.

The first fight of the tournament was between local boy Soufian Touti and Finish fighter Jukka Kyynarainen. It was a battle of elbows between two strong fighters, which ended with Soufian taking the victory.

The second fight was between Swedish Alexander Arutyunyan and Norweigan Allan Wold, but in the end Alexander took control of the fight and claimed the victory.

Next the spectators were entertained by some brilliant fights, as two Danish IFMA World Champions Julian Bengtsen and Youssef Assouik fought on their home soil.

Julian, a talent to be watched in the future met Minh Le from Finland. Showing great speed and beautiful variation in techniques, he won by knock out in the second round. Youssef faced down English opponent Carlton Lieu and won a victory for Denmark.

The night peaked with the WMC tournament final between Denmark’s Soufian and Sweden’s Alexander. Alexander came on strong, determined to bulldoze Soufian. Reading his opponent, Soufian fought back using his reach, keeping Alexander at a distance and ultimately winning the victory on points. Denmark now has a new Nordic WMC champion!

The event was a big success and there will hopefully be many more to come.
