Trinidad makes History

A full capacity crowd came to watch the Super 4 female tournament for the Unite to end violence against women trophy.

The line-up included the best of the best with Janice Lynn from Canada, Candice Mitchell from Trinidad and Tobego, Sawsing Sor Sopit from Thailand and Nguyen Ti Hong Nang from Vietnam.

For the first fight Candice took on Sawsing from Thailand and put on an amazing performance with Trindad showing the universalism Muaythai has now reached by beating the Thai champion.

The second fight saw the Asian Beach Games champion from Vietnam Nguyen against Janice Lynn from Canada. It was a great match from 2 outstanding athletes with Janice Lynn winning on points.

The final was set between Candice and Janice with Janice coming in as the favourite to win, but it was Candice who took the fight and the trophy. There was an emotional display at the end as both athletes are best of friends and the respect shown shows the level of respect and friendship in Muaythai.
