The Headquarters of WMC has sent a request out to all its members calling for a minute of silence to be observed at all IFMA events to pay respect to HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej who sadly passed away on October 13th.

HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej was considered as the Father of Thailand and the high patron of Muaythai.

His Majesty was the patron of many sport events and associations. The National Olympic Committee of Thailand was under his patronage, as well as the national sport associations for athletics, badminton, basketball, football, judo, lawn tennis, rugby, shooting, yacht racing, boxing, and certainly the World Muaythai Council.

The minute of silence is to be observed before the commencement of all WMC events worldwide, taking place from now until January 1st 2017.
