World Muaythai Council

Wednesday the 7^th February saw the annual Muaythai day celebrations, this year at the Sports Authority of Thailand. The event began with a dramatic opening ceremony featuring traditional dance and a Muay Boran performance.

Following this the WMC President General Chetta gave a heartful opening speech on how far muaythai has come, especially over the last 2 years with provisional IOC recognition for IFMA the International federation of Muaythai Amateur.

IFMA president Doctor Sakchye lead the Khru Muaythai team made up of the highest recognised instructors and a special candle ceremony was held to honour his Majesty King Rama 10. The international Muaythai Community was lead by WMC Vice-President and General Secretary Stephan Fox.
